In California we only have to smog once every two years. Which to me, it is not bad at all. My main focus is not to have an engine bay screaming to be impounded in the event that I get pulled over and my hood popped. I have a feeling that once I open up my exhaust trouble may soon follow.
So the fuel sender I will try to use is from a very specific model and year. I could only find a select few on the bay. 2013 Ford fusion / Lincoln MKZ with AWD. Part number DG9Z-9A407-H. Might have to trim the top to make it fit. We will see.
The only other dual pump I could find was for a mustang GT500 but they were way too pricy for that I am doing.

Today I decided to try to test the percentage of ethanol in my fuel. I’ve never done it before, because to me “close enough” and corn usually go hand and hand.
The way I understand it, ethanol mixes with petrol, but not as well as it mixes with water. Therefore, putting water into a container and toping off the same container with fuel, after agitation the ethanol will literally separate from the petrol and mix with the water.
First I went into my newborn’s baby bottle cabinet and secured me a bottle. Do not worry, i’ll give it back when I am done.
Put some water into the container. I filled the container to 100ML’s of water.
Pour in fuel, I am testing a so called E48 mix. We will see how close it is. I filled to the 240ml mark.
Gave the bottle a mix, and watch it separate.
Separation complete, took almost an hour to fully separate.
Now, take the amount of water you put into the bottle and subtract it from the total amount you put into the bottle. Then divide the total amount of fuel by that number.
240ml-100ml=140ml
70ml/140ml= .500 or 50% Petrol and you 50% Corn...
Yup, “close enough” is easier and a lot less work.

Well, came home from work and a box with 16w sticker was on my doorstep. Looks fantastic, they did a great job. I am a bit upset since I ordered one with a 72mm opening and the one I recieved has the factory sized hole. I hope my manifold that I ordered is still there and they mixed up the boxes. I emailed Anthony at 16w, we will see what he says about it.

Manifold is being exchanged. I offered to cover the return shipping, (cheap test of character) and Anthony was not having it. He passed by insisting on covering the shipping costs and promptly sent me a label. So this mix up of manifolds will be settled in a few weeks and everything should be straightened out.
