Low Fuel Pressure

That will be my next step if swapping pumps and pressure valve arent the answer.

I has the pump off and did not grab Idle logs after issue started. :confused:
 
So I threw a buddies pump on over the weekend and no change. Pressure still fell flat on its face under boost. New pressure relief just arrived so hopefully this 25+ mph wind stops so I can install it.

This wind is steady 25 with 50+ gusts. I'm debating on going for a bike ride.

Yea this is kinda crazy. I would move it to neighbors garage but pump still out so id be opening all that to sand and shit so. I might have to wait another day for this. This is driving me nuts.
 
I think all of us will experience this at least once. Your idle pressure is likely below 200, as low as 75. An extremely noisy HPFP is common too when the PRV bursts. If you can pass any air through it, it is bad. I was able to blow a little through mine with my mouth. Glad you have one to swap in, now if only weather would cooperate!
 
It will be nice after a blown o-ring on the injector, PCV issues, and air leaks, that I might be able to drive this damn thing. I will update all after install tonight.
[doublepost=1455671268][/doublepost]So here is where I sit. Replaced Releif and could blow small mount of air through it. So I start up the car and now instead of low pressure, I'm maxed at idle. Sitting at 1800+ and when I rev it maxes at 2075. I'm at a loss....... Any ideas? pump is chattering like crazy. and there is a high pitched whistle like noise
 
Hoping to get a little insight as to what the issue is shortly from the Dealer. Drove the whole way to the dealer with 1765-2075 Fuel pressure. At least I know i wasn't lacking fuel.
[doublepost=1455834479][/doublepost]SO here is where we are at. The dealer thinks its either my fuel pump itself, or a clogged valve in the fuel rail...... I would think they are referring to the rail pressure sensor. I swapped pumps and the pressure still dropped under load. Installed new pressure relief valve, and my pressure sits at 1765 and up and never drops. So a complete 180. Kinda at a loss again, any insight would be helpful.
 
Update: 2/22/16
Pulled the pump off and pulled the cam follower to find a nice nick out of the chrome on the cam side. I dont see any damage to the cam itself. New follower is ordered and will be here Weds. I will be sending pump internals to Corksport for evaluation.

Quick question for you all: My brother works for APR tuning and from what I read, there internals are tried and true for the VW/Audi world, and I thought I read that they used to build pumps for CP-E. If he gets me a set of these internals, is there any adverse effects to running them?
 
So it turns out I had 2 failures at once. The spill valve stuck and got so hot it blued itself. The initial issue was the pressure relief valve, and spiraled into pump. New pump is on with new cam follower, awaiting word from CorkSport on the condition of the internals. Got to love my luck.
