MAP mishap?

Hey guys, so I'm scratching my head on this 1. So I started noticing some similar issues to when my last map went bad; high koeo voltage, overboost conditions, high idle with clutch engaged(foot off). So I started shopping, bought a Bosch 3bar but ended up buying the gm version instead.

Once I replaced it, all the issues were still the same.
Should I reflash my tune to clear the LTFT? Or am I stupid for trying to save a little money?
What's the difference between the 2 sensors?

I get that, but my question more so boils down to, what's the difference between a 3bar Bosch for Mazda and a 3bar Bosch for gm if it fits the housing and the harness. I'm assuming that the multipliers and offset aren't the same but the range and accuracy of the tables are. My reason for listing the part number is seeing if anybody had any experience with this dilemma before, hoping someone can point me in the right direction

I don't know of anyone using the GM sensor even though it physically fits. Does the GM one have the pins for the Boost Air Temperature sensor as part of it? In GMs terminology that would be Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2.

You still have to change the scalars in your tune for it to run right. So if you installed the sensor and it didn't change how it ran it could be because you have to actually make changes to your tune settings for MAP/BAT sensor for it to work correctly.

if it is supplying all of the information required by the ECU and you have adjusted the relevant tables in your tune then theoretically it should work.

Haven't adjusted quite yet, still gathering info on whether it's even worth putting time into and taking to my tuner about it. But if it ends up working out I'll make a how to thread cuz it's like half the price of the 1 I bought on edge last time

So you bought a random map part number, it fits but you're having issues and haven't bothered to talk to your tuner to try adjust scaling? No shit you're having issues.

You won't know if it works or not until you talk to the tuner and they're either able to adjust for it it not.

Were you atleast adjusted for running a 3bar before? Or are you coming off the stock one?

I didn't just hit "I'm feeling lucky" in my Google search. I've got my VT set up for a Bosch 3bar sensor. So I started noticing some of the same issues that I was noticing when I had to replace the last map sensor. Koeo map voltage was sitting around 1.6 volts so I bought a Bosch 3bar map sensor. Now, I will admit that I didn't even know that Bosch would make 2 separate 3bar maps that look exactly the same but specifically for gm but now that I'm here, I'm curious if it could possibly work with a slight recalibration. I'm no Mazda engineer but I'm not completely ignorant either

Check your ambient air temp sensor. I had an issue where water got into my connection there and caused MAP readings to be off.
