Known issue. My dashboard is affected and I received the letter stating I'm covered. Just awaiting the follow-up letter than they have the parts on hand.

I'll look into this. I have to make a trip to the dealer in two weeks. I'll bring it up in person then and see what happens. If they say no, i'll call Mazda and see what they can do directly.
Best of luck. I wouldn't be surprised that the recall will get extended to your year. I'm seeing them now.

BTW..when you get the new one PURCHASE a front window cover so you don't have the issue again.

Mine has been like this for about 1.5 years, and of course happened right after the warranty was up. I could just put RTV on it and put a weight on it, but that's a last minute thing if they don't replace it and it gets worse. The "extended" warranty I got, didn't give two fucks about any issues either. Last time I make that mistake.

Could always do a hidden camera
Naw, I'll explicitly point it out to the tech working on it, the service writer, and the service manager, and I'll show them how my illumination is orange and my boost needle moves smoothly/doesn't stick. That's how it came, that's how it needs to leave...

I'm getting the "lift" on my 2012 speed. I went to see if they'd fix it maybe 5 months ago and they said the part was free, but the labor would be around $250, still under warranty.. I told them to frig off.
