My MSM

Velocity Red is an awesome color, especially in the light. Looks great on the speed6 and msm. 2nd best msm color behind lava orange.

My Miata's not an MSM, but it's about as quick as a stock one... ;)

Saying its as quick as a stock one is both true and depressing. The stock ECU on these cars is pretty rough.

I had a Hard Dog Hard Core Double Diagonal before. Personally saw it save my buddy's life in his car when he rolled a few times at an event.

Alright I'll look into it. Rag top cleared it fine I'm assuming?

Any of you run into this?

P0031 heater control circuit low

Just replace the first 02 sensor?

Sounds like an O2 issue. I have a hard dog single diagonal on mine. If you don't want to take on the install I have a very affordable guy in Longwood who specializes in Miata work

Cool, I'll let you know. It'll be a little while before I get one.

If I were you, I would wait on the roll bar. You don't need it for just autocross. You're much more likely to be rear ended and be killed by the bar than to be in a roll over accident. If you still want the bar, I would swap out your seats to race seats.

I'm taking my roll bar out when I get back to the States.

After seeing the roll bar save @KyleUndefined in an accident, I disagree with that.

I know that there's great debate over the usefulness vs safety of a rollbar but I believe in using one. Yes, you could get in an accident and be hurt by one. You should also have it correctly padded so that there is some reduction in impact. However, you could also be hit and have your car roll. Also can roll your car due to your own misfortune like my friend (and Kyle).

Theres a good reason that Bethania has a page dedicated to showing that their roll bars have worked. http://www.bethania-garage.com/testimonials.htm

Also running race seats is fine, but on the street the stock seat belt and air bag are the safest way to go. No better way to destroy your neck in an accident than wearing harnesses with no neck protection.

I suggested the race seat simply so that you sit low enough to hopefully avoid hitting your head on the bar.

Yes, I know about Kyle's accident. Actually, Kyle bought that car from me. I had the roll bar installed on that car. Yes, it saved his life, but that was an extremely unlucky circumstance that made him roll. I still stand by the suggestion of no roll bar if all you do is the occasional autocross and don't drive through mountain passes at breakneck speed.

At least we know that a roll bar has the ability to save a life as well as has the potential to make you wear a turban while you are recovering from a head injury....cough cough...@Kyle_undefined

Man, that plus tax and shipping is about triple the cost of NA/NB roll bars. They've made some nice roll bars as well but I think that's the only one for the ND I've seen so far so its priced accordingly. Otherwise looks to be nice that you can keep the top and be completely legal.

Yeah, Hard Dog has one for the ND too that costs about half as much, but they make no claims as to its "legality" with the various event sanctioning bodies... Also, I figure if I'm gonna hack up my brand new car to put in a bar, why not go with the best? :p
