ok i need some help, my car started to throw a cel p0222, u2064, u2023.
had a friend swap out throttle bodies for me and ran fine up until i came back home and had to jump start my baby up only to see the same codes pop up and the occasional pcm code about once or twice. my question is what are the odds of having 2 bad throttle bodies? and could the pcm be causing these issues? and i remeber doing some research and reading about having to have the same pcm part #'s, anyone with any info please chime in cause i would like to have my car fixed before the big move to georgia! thanks.

From mighty Google..

Common Misdiagnoses

  • Throttle or Pedal Position Sensor is replaced when the real problem is a poor connection or chafed wiring

Had a CX-7 guy had same issue. Resetting ECU fixed it. Unplugged battery, pumped brakes and reconnected.

Have you done any work on the car recently? Make sure all the connectors are seated. The next obvious thing to check is to see if any wires have been rubbed by the intake clamps. GL.

so i found what my problem was, i was taking the intake off when i noticed one of the clamps for the bypass hose was rubbing into the wiring harness. luckily it rubbed into the metal portion of a splice and was causing it to ground out, i gratefully didn't see any other wires that were chewed up, so all i had to do was wrap some backshell tape on the wiring harness and rotated the clamps as to were they no longer posed an issue. thanks 5doorsoffury for the advice, i just hate that i missed it the 1st time.
