Hello all! I’m Jeremy and I’ve just picked up an ‘07 Speed6 with 116k miles on it and a hole in the block. I brought home a short block from a local Mazda guy a few days later. My goal is to get it up and running correctly and then start to build for 400whp. The block was built with Manley rods and pistons and looks to be in great shape. I’m excited to get this car back together. I drove a 1st gen Speed3 several years back and it left a definite impression on me!
Since then I’ve owned a 2000 Miata, and an ‘88 323 GTX. I currently have a bit of a Mazda collection going with an ‘89 323 GTX, ‘92 Sunburst Miata, ‘94 turbo Miata, and now this 6. I had been leaning towards an STi, but I think this will be a better fit for my needs. Also flying under the radar a little bit sounds appealing.
I’m grateful that this forum exists, and am looking forward to going through the posts and info about getting this thing back on the road!

Had to get my feet wet right away myself when I had to drop a new engine into my '07 speed3 two years ago when I bought it. Learned a lot along the way though.
