Hello All!

I'm Dave. As the title says I'm from SE Michigan. Sterling Heights for those who know the area.

I took possession of my 07 Speed 3 in July of 07. I've done many mods to it over the years but never really had time to dig into optimizing the tune. For the first couple of years it was my daily driver, so I couldn't afford to have it down. After it became my second car work schedule, home life, etc. didn't leave much time for the car. That has changed now and I finally have some time to start fiddling with her again. I'm looking forward to learning more about tuning.

I'm looking forward to learning more about tuning. Goals? I drive the car to and from work during nice weather and cruise it on nice weekends. I enjoy spirited, enthusiastic street driving. So, I'm looking to get as much safe usable power as I can from it given the upgrades I have. We have e85 in our area, so a corn tune is a desired as well. I've looked through some of the tuners listed here and will go with one of them for both of the tunes when I'm ready. I spent the weekend running though the prep list to ensure my vehicle is in top condition to make my data log runs.

^what he said!

Also, if you have not bought your tuning device and want to self-tune, Versatuner is what you need. Cobb pulled the ATR from their site and plans to sell it in the future. For now, you cannot get it unless you buy an AP used and it comes with the original install exe.

The only way to tune with AP is via pro-tuner. Good news! Both MSO tuner vendors are Protuner and Versatuner Vendors as well.

Oh and Cobb will not be enhancing and making anything for us, our platform is dead to them and is in maintenance mode. Versatuner is actively working with us to make it better.

Versatuner is a vendor here so you can also post for help there and they can answer.

Good luck in tuning and welcome!

Welcome brother. I'm in Waterford @phate is currently a bum at my house but he will be in Auburn Hills, @mole is in Clarkston, bunch of other people in the southern regions.

There's Midwest meet in a month (2 hours away) so go check that out! We will also be having a few meets here and there....most notably our epic Thanksgiving Meat actually in October this year since so many of our members are having kids LOL!

Welcome to the fag house!

Whoa, sweet! I didn't know that @phate was 'round these parts! I'm in Auburn Hills on a fairly regular basis to meet with clients up there, even though I live in Ann Arbor.

Also, welcome @Ratherbehunting!

No shit! Well def dont be a stranger! :)

I'll certainly try not to be! I haven't been on MSO nearly as much as I should've been at this point. [Thanks, new jOb(ama)].

If any of you happen to be in the A2 area at some point, definitely drop me a line! I'm often up visiting my folks near Pontiac too.

Welcome, @Ratherbehunting. I'm now visiting Sterling Heights weekly for work!

Yep, I'm working at FCA now and just got a house in Auburn Hills :)

Welcome to the Mitten! Too bad the only really fun cars in the FCA portfolio are a little out of the average Joe's price range. That said, if you think you can get me a deal on a nice Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde, I don't think I could turn it down. ;-)

My firm does a lot of work for a supplier called DURA up in that neck of the woods.

Welcome! I have been kind of MIA from the forums for a bit due to a lot of new things keeping me busy, so I apologize for the late response. Like @HawkeyeGeoff said, I'm up in Clarkston. I recommend coming out to a meet sometime soon and getting to know at least some of us. I have a wedding the same day as the Thanksgiving Meat so I can't make it this year but I highly recommend going to that as well. Also @Ratherbehunting, if your name suggests anything, hunting season starts in 3 weeks woo!
