Hey everyone! New forum user, but I've been reading posts on here for a little while now. I recently purchased a 2012 MS3 after a deer leaped out of a cornfield and totaled my '08 Mazda 3. Did a bunch of suspension work on that 3 over the summer, and I wanted an upgrade that I could swap as many of those parts over to as possible(Corksport rear sway bar, JBR RMM, Koni oranges and Mazda 5 springs, adjustable rear upper control arms and lateral links). Tough to find one in my budget, but I ended up picking one up in Florida with 115k miles that seems solid(I'm from NY, and wanted something from outside the rust belt).
No idea if the timing's been done, but I'm not hearing any chain noise. Keeping some money set aside in case that becomes an issue.
I've had her for a week now. Did an oil change before and after the drive up from FL, replaced tranny fluid with Redline MTL, removed and cleaned the TMIC, and I'm now currently chasing down a P2009 and a small EVAP leak. I'm new to turbos, so I won't be doing any mods until I've gained a greater understanding of how everything works when stock. I'd be greatly appreciative of any advice y'all might have, I've still got a lot to learn!
