Not 'New', but returning

Hello Gents!

Some of you may remember me from that 'other' forum.

Around the time Raider graciously created a better spot to chill, I got rid of my 2009 Speed3 to get into BMW's. I have been a long time fan of BMW's, and was even a BMW technician for a couple of years, but the culture and the forums are no where near what I was used to being in the Speed community. The support is just no where near the same level.

With that being said, I am considering coming back. I've thought about trying to track down my old car, but I am also considering picking up a Speed6 instead, to do something different.

Right now I currently have a 2009 135i and a 2014 550i. I'm in love with the 550i, but not so much with the 135i. With that being said, I'm considering swapping it for a Speed6.

Whether I do or not, I still wanted to come back to hang out and see what the latest and greatest is.

I went and test drove the new turbo Mazda6, hoping it still might retain some of the old "Zum Zum", but was overall relatively disappointed. New signature interior is gorgeous, but the exterior and performance is meh.

Glad to be back, and I'm looking forward to eventually getting back into a Mazda of some sort.

Cheers!

Whale-cum back.

What don't you like about your 135, is it that OEM shifter that feels like you're pushing rope?

Hey there! Thanks for the warm Whale-cum back (mmmmm yum).

I think the biggest problem I have with the 135i is it is just kind of quirky, and It's going to need quite a lot in the near future (wastegates rattle like mad. Live in cali so it will be harder to BT, etc.)
Also, not the cars fault, but it's nearly impossible to open it up on a regular basis (I used to drive my speed hard constantly). Not to mention performance parts are cheaper, and as I said, the support from the community just seems greater.

Love me some 135s. Gotta be N55 tho

Mines an N54. I fell in love with the motor when I worked at BMW, issues aside.

Hello sir!

Come to NH and buy my gen2!

Oh man, I'm in Cali. That would be a hell of a drive back!

I got rid of my speed and got a Roush RS3 Mustang. I don't go to other forums. They're stupid and don't maintain the same level of homo the Speed forums do. To me that is unacceptable. Whalecum back to the homo dome.

Tapatalk, it sucks for free!

S2K all day bro. 135i made me want to kill myself after doing every maintenance item.

Welcome back OP. Long live the DISI!

Yeah, I saw you on the Bimmer forums here and there. They just seemed uninhabited compared to what I was used to over here.

The DISI was a lot of fun, and I do miss my speed. I had a decent amount done to it, and I think that's part of what I miss... Not to mention I walked a G8 GT right before I took the mods off to sell it. I definitely wouldn't mind having one again.
