official 2018 enm at tail of the dragon

I really hope the new ownership doesn't ruin the hotel. That being said, the wife and I decided to book something we hadn't tried before, but we'll be at the hotel or wherever for shenanigans.

@dagrimey1 any info on a possible dinner, I do not believe we are doing a raffle this year. Tbh we are keeping it a little low key this year and just keeping it simple. Scotty finny is making t shirts I will shoot him a msg and ask him to put details in here.

I'm ok with low-key. My anniversary is that Friday, so I booked a little nicer place than the old standby hotel for the wife and I. I was also debating bringing my Miata instead of the Speed since I've never had it down to the Dragon. If we bring the Miata I will be driving low-key since I don't know the car like I know my Speed and it's still totally stock.

I wish I could bring my Miata to the Dragon, I bet it'd be a load of fun. Mine is track only (not registered/insured) though. The Speed is still a blast though, so I really can't complain! I just cant wait to be back down there!

Honestly, ND's (and Miatas in general) are so easy to drive, you'll probably get comfortable with it within 1-2 runs. I would love to take a Miata down the dragon myself.

I agree, I really want to take the Miata this year, but it is a completely analog car (NB no ABS), so I would definitely want to ease into the first couple runs, since there is no safety net, and I don't have a roll bar in it.
