Oil catch can - How often do you have to drain yours?

Just so we can get a more or less scientific approach here, please provide some add'l info:

1) How big is your catch can?
2) How is it set up - block venting only, or block + valve cover?
3) Is the catch can VTA and/or recirc?
4) Stock turbo set-up or other (name the turbo)
5) What is the drain interval in miles, how much is drained (is catch can full or barely anything comes out), and what drains?

Mine:
1) 0.75 qt
2) Block only
3) Recirc
4) Stock K04
5) 3,000mi, about 1/4 of the can of water/oil comes out

At oil changes. I've seen some people with about 8oz (half a throw away water bottle) amount at an oil change and then there's mine which is maybe 4 oz at best. I guess it depends on how hard you push your car, or city driver. Not sure if this is a factor. You'll rarely see me pushing the car though and I'm stock turbo with few mods.

Has to do with how much your car gets to temp, when I don't get fully to temp in cool/cold weather much more condensation, and more liquid in the car, in the summer bearly any

When i ran a sealed can off the pcv in between the pcv and manifold
1) How big is your catch can? Standard damond motorsports can
2) How is it set up - block venting only, or block + valve cover? Block only
3) Is the catch can VTA and/or recirc? Recirc
4) Stock turbo set-up or other (name the turbo)

5) What is the drain interval in miles, how much is drained (is catch can full or barely anything comes out), and what drains?
In summer time, once every 3k miles. 2-3 fluid oz would drain out. In the winter, once a week. 12 fluid ounces of mostly water would drain out

Now my setup which runs no can between the pcv manifold. 2nd port from pcv plate -> check valve -> Dual inlet vta can port #1

Stock valve cover port to dual inlet vta can port #2. With port from valve cover to the intake plugged on the intake
Plus a
-10AN fitting on top of valve cover to a separate single inlet 12oz VTA can

Plus an oil cap VTA breather

1) How big is your catch can? 1 standard size occ and 1 12oz mini occ
2) How is it set up - block venting only, or block + valve cover? See above
3) Is the catch can VTA and/or recirc? VTA all the things
4) Stock turbo set-up or other (name the turbo)

5) What is the drain interval in miles, how much is drained (is catch can full or barely anything comes out), and what drains?
I never drain them. Theres never anything in either can. They vent at WOT and I get a slight oil smell after a pull. Barely any vapor/residue is left in the engine bay to ever clean up.

Is there any need to clean the can itself? Like flushing it with a degreaser or something?

I found the email from 2011 buying a Saikou Michi catch can kit from someone on one of the old boards. Can't remember which one. Still on my car collecting gunk. Soon I'll open things and see how the intake and valves look.

I am still running the same can in my Speed 3! It was the Damond Motorsports can from before there was Damond Motorsports. I just bought replacement hoses and am replacing them after 10 years as it is probably time

Hey Raider,

I'm thinking of picking up a DM OCC Stage 1 for my new engine. A bit illiterate with these sort of things - but do you think it's something I should go ahead and do? Considering adding the optional VTA kit to future proof it for when I do decide to add mods to the car - but it'll be mostly stock for the foreseeable future. Thanks Raider!
