Oil Catch Can - Venting Crankcase Pressure ?

I bought my pu with a Corksport catch can setup already on the car, but I have been reading a lot about venting crankcase pressure and the use of vented setups. I am currently on k04 and 20psi, wondering if I need to upgrade my setup ? Someone suggested to add a vented breather cap and a check valve between the can and the intake manifold. Does anyone else have experience with this ?

This is the article explaining the Corksport setup and I attatched a picture below: https://corksport.com/blog/the-inner-workings-of-the-corksport-oil-catch-can/

At 20 psi on stock engine there is no real need to vent pressure. Unless you're noticing blow which is highly doubtful. Not like you're really going to go past 20 psi on k04 otherwise it's a flame thrower and extra air is so hot it's not of benefit.

I've been lectured by smarter Speed owners than me on how the CS routing method is not very effective due to lack of sufficient vacuum or something. I have a CS kit but after their explaining it to me (too long ago to remember specifics but I think Damond addresses it in their "bye bye blowby" blog entry), I opted to grab a check valve from DM and installed the can using their Stage1 routing method, between the pcv and intake manifold.

On stock turbo at that boost level you aren't going to need any additional venting unless something is wrong with your motor or pcv system.

Cool man! So did you just stick with your corksport can and then use some fresh 5/8” hose + the Damond check valve to re-route things ?

I actually hadn't even installed it yet at that point, so I just grabbed the check valve to add in and then cut the lines included with the CS kit to install it under the different routing method.

I also pulled a little bit of fuckery and used an extra 5/8 barb to connect to the factory hose between pcv/mani. That removed the huge struggle bus effort of removing the factory hose from the pcv side, so I only had to disconnect it from the manifold breather port and chain the hoses together.
