Do you think it's a head gasket leak?

I honestly don’t think it sounds like a head gasket but cylinder #3 sounds like it’s not doing so hot lol I built my motor recently and had my hpfp leak at the block. It barely still is but apparently some people say it takes a dab of BLACK rtv at the 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions.

It is supposed to go on the side of the gasket that goes against the block. I feel you are experiencing several things at once which makes it seem worse than it is. I would suggest looking under the car at the oil filter/oil cooler area (which is known to leak). Remove the hpfp from block and clean it up, then check the oil drain line for leaks. Also, the oil pan could have a loose bolt or two or the washer could have been left off the oil drain plug.

All things I have come to realize are minor things that I have addressed to fix my oil leak issues.

About to do this right now. Thanks for the advice on this one.

Replaced Valve cover gasket, dabbed RTV gasket maker on the fuel pump crank housing as recommended above. Cleaned up the engine a bit so I can spot new oil leaks. Drove it 30 km and so far dry as a bone. Fingers crossed though.
Hope that’s all it takes and glad I could help out. Lets hope it holds up for ya!

Unfortunately I've still got some leaks I think, although it might have improved. Car has gone to storage for the winter now, so it's now a spring problem. I still haven't done the oil pan so I guess that's next, plus I might do a full PVC plate and gasket. See how that goes.

Is it still leaking at the hpfp though or can you not tell really? Guess come spring time you’ll get it all lined out man! I am wanting to definitely vent my crankcase pressure better as it is too high with my single catch can I feel like. Also a cheap can tho and is sealed so not really venting anything yet anyways.

Seems fine. Valve cover is definitely improved as well. There is a possibility the oil I've noticed is just warmed up oil still slowly making it's way off of my engine through pooling and collecting etc. But it seemed enough that I'd imagine I still have a leak.

Best thing to do is take a good bit of time to clean things thoroughly and then you will most likely find the actual source of the problem
