P0234 Code

So I have a 2012 mazdaspeed 3 and I was having a issue where after a little bit of driving the engine would stutter then die on me and so I replace the MAP sensor and it fixed it and now my car is overboosting to 23psi when im running a cobb stage 1 tune. Anyone know if changing the MAP to an aftermarket one would be the issue?

It was one from rock auto that said it would fit. Its bosch brand

Just because it fits, doesn't mean it's the right one. Search for what the stock sensor uses for settings and BAR readings, then compare it to the one you bought.

My assumption here is you bought a 1.5 or 2 BAR sensor that isn't sending the expected voltages at normal pressures. You can verify this by seeing what the boost is reading as when the car is on and engine is off (AKA KOEO or key on engine off).
