Hey guys,
Ive been peaking around the forum since 2019 when I got and started to build my speed3 and thanks for all the info but ive been stuck with a issue for a while now thats left me with the car parked.
I tore the car apart to install a BNR S1 a few years back and when I did that along with a bunch of other mods I installed a Damond motorsports PCV plate and catch can to directly vent the crank case pressure. I have 2 5/8 ths lines coming from 2 AN fittings going directly to my VTA catch can and it just keeps pouring oil out of the vent. I originally thought that the can was to low for my car and that during cornering/brakeing on track it was just dumping oil into the can because the lines were running straight down with my PCV lines. That doesnt seem to be the case because after pulling the intake off and re routing the AN fittings and lines straight up through the space in-between runners to a 3d printed battery holder with the can mounted to the side im still running into the same issue after just a couple of pulls.

Im wondering if im missing something in the lines like maybe a check valve or something similar and they are just pressuring both sides of the baffle and blowing out the top or maybe some other thing im not thinking about. The line from the top left of the plate is running to the bottom barb of the CC and the lower right line from the plate is running to the top of the CC. It dumped a ton of oil after 6 or 7 2-3-4 pulls after i got it back together otherwise the car seems really healthy with no real KR above 2, good AFR and some really strong pulls with no noticeable miss fires. The car has 118k km with probably 30ish autocross events and 10+ trackdays up at grandbend motorplex but that was prior to the BNR s1 and other mods and the car has always been way over cared for while ive owned it.
I did all the mods back in 2024 then parked it when I noticed the CC issue/getting busy with work. The relevant mods I did at the time were as follows
- BNR S1
- Damond PCV plate
- Damond VTA CC for crank case
- Amazon sealed CC for PCV (very normal ammount of oil)
- Corksport 3.5 intake
- CS front mount intercooler
- 3 port boost controller
- Damond oil cooler kit (done well before but relevant maybe)
Also done at the same time but not relevant
- Recaro pole position
- Schroth racing harness
- Auto power 4 point

Other mods that probs aren't relevant but for the curious
- Gotovatos old Bilstein B16s w/camber plates
-HPFP
-White line anti lift and f/r endlinks
-Sure swaybar (32mm I think)
- Freek tune
- 17x9 + 45 RPF1 w/ Nanking CRS 255
- 3 Inch ebay DP
- random rear camber arms
- EGR delete
- probably other stuff im forgetting
Im open to ideas on what i need to do to get this oil issue taken care of because id like to get it back out on track before the seasons over. Thanks for any help and if you need any more Info lmk
