Hello hello, figured I’d give some updates.
I’m just going to upload some random images with a description lol!
The bent TB:
Freshly rebuilt by KW. I’m excited to install these babies:
Cracked FP gauge. Don’t worry, replacement is otw.
Picked this up from
@KingScumbag
In the process of replacing the radiator, I went ahead and took out the White Widow IM gasket I’ve had on and replaced it with OEM. I heard those types of gasket don’t play well with JMF and I did it just as a preventive maintenance lol. Also replaced my TB gasket with one from AP (donated by
@SharksInSpace;, thank you sir)
I wanted a way to monitor my inline pump.
So
@JohnnyTightlips; had an idea. We searched on RockAuto and bought this fuel pressure sender. The idea is for an LED light to light up in the cabin to notify me that the pump indeed runs. Unfortunately, this idea didn’t work as we thought. During testing, the LED light wouldn’t light up even when there was pressure going through the line. But hey, it was worth a shot.
So after the radiator was in, my fuel trims started going wonky. The first thing that came to mind was boost leak. So my buddy and I met up last night at the shop he works in and he helped me tremendously. We found a couple intercooler couplers and my BOV fitting to be leaking air. We cleaned the MAF sensor and found that the o-ring was fubar’d. He improvised and replaced the o-ring with some random one he had at the shop.
Upon starting the car, I was greeted with worse LTFT and STFT than when I began with lol. I tried swapping the MAF with a known good one and it didn’t change a thing. At this point it was already 8PM and we called it a night.
Anyway this morning
@Maisonvi; advised me to reflash the tune. Now I just have to drive the car more to see if fuel trims would settle for the better.
Stay tuned for more KiwiFail!
