About the latches:
Only 1 latch will be needed for the fenderwell kit per side. If the area is popping off under the headlights as well, you will want to order a pair of full latch kits as well, which will be in the link sent when you order. You can even order our fenderwell kit first, then if needed after, order the front latch later.

The goal is to go from the bumper falling off, to this:

The how-to will be updated to reflect the final design as needed, but overall, it is pretty similar to the prototype.

Fixing your bumper fitment is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Order your RaiderFab hardware and Quik-Latch latches (Mini Quik-Latch Assist Springs!
2. Install!.
3. Post to Instagram and Facebook, tagging RaiderFab, Mazdaspeeds.org,and Quil-Latch!!

So what comes with the RaiderFab/Maisonvi kit?

• A pair of the RaiderFab/Maisonvi stainless steel brackets
• A pair of custom length latch pins
• stainless steel washers and nuts to hold it all in place
• anodized black, red, blue, machined aluminum or polished latches

Wanted to give the GenPu fags a heads up here; I'll be in Las Vegas on business until Sunday. I've received the parts needed to complete the Genpu kit so I should have a working prototype/solution by Monday early evening. If my test fits are correct, the Pu bumper will be solidly in place with minimal gapping just like stock. I'm excited to have a final result for everyone suffering from this oversight by some shitty mazda engineer.

It looks like I may be able to address some of my fitment issues by using latch studs that aren't quite as long. Do you have a deal with the vendor that allows us to select and purchase studs of various lengths? My longer front ones don't give me enough adjustability, even with many washers behind the mounting bracket to shim the orientation outward more. The kit I bought came with two longer studs and two shorter studs. I think I need to buy two more shorter studs.

Hmmm.... I'm not exactly sure. Perhaps it'd be better to see what you come up with regarding the Gen 2 version. That'll give me a better idea if it's a preferable route to go instead of adapting my already crappy mounting "solution" (to use the word loosely). Hopefully your Gen 2 fix will have mounting slots of sufficient adjustability to accommodate the locations on my bumper that I had to drill my holes. If not, then shorter studs will be the only option.

Any roundabout idea when the Gen 2 kit/pics/etc. will be released? I'm awaiting with baited breath.

Okay. I'll just need to order a variety of lengths to ensure I have what I need on hand (they're not too expensive anyways). Based on my pics, do you think the solution you guys developed can be adapted for me? Also, any preliminary pics? The anticipation is killing me, LOL

BTW, do you recommend using the springs? It looks like they're not very stiff and probably don't do so much, though I realize looks can be deceiving. Thanks, man!

One quick question: can you tell me if I need to have my stock bumper tab brackets for this new mounting solution? I hope not; I don't have them anymore, so I'd have to pick up a couple o.0

Sweet! Anxiously anticipating this. Is there a possibility that you could throw me together a limited kit for a price break, when the time comes?

Since I already have the latches, I figure I'll just need the studs (in case they're a different length/thickness/pitch, etc.), spring assemblies, brackets that are gonna be fabbed, and I could probably use my existing nuts/washers, unless they're a different too. Then again, maybe I'd just get the hardware as well from you to eliminate any possible incompatibility.

This all hinges on my current latch locations being compatible with y'alls creation. Fingers crossed!

 

The Pu fix won't need brackets. It will be awesome and simple enough to stop sales of their $220 piece of shit.

 

Mine are holding up great. @Raider I ended up going with you idea on the extra hole from the rubber band latch on the fender. Base PMO didn't like it too well when I tried to come onto base with two small green dicks mounted on my fenders. Had to remove them sadly.

Also during my install I ended up replacing the stock plastic piece that you screw the bracket too with a new metal piece and bolts like the ones on the top of your headlight. Found it was stiffer and didn't move as much like it did with the plastic screw piece.
