RPF1s!!!!!!!

17x9 +45 255/40 on order. (Firestone Firehawk Indy 500)

I am in a gen1.

Looks like the consensus is +10mm hub centric spacers on the front along with extended wheel studs? I'm not lowered but I do plan on getting a new suspension setup soon; mine is blown.

Either 10mm or 5mm. But if doing 10mm or more you WILL need extended wheel studs.

I've got 5mm spacers and extended studs, but I am a gen2. Frankly I don't think gen's matter since the concern is clearing the strut body.

Is 5mm enough to clear the struts? What about if I lower it with a new suspension, doesn't that bring me closer to the strut? What if I potentially consider a big brake kit in the future; I think the CorkSport kit requires spacers as well.

Bonoss sells custom spacers; should I get 12mm and get back to OE offset?

Or is it just easier to stick with 5mm.

for what it's worth, i went with the 45s and i didn't have to roll my rears. i thought for sure i'd have to but it doesn't rub at all. i even put a new B14 bilstein coilover kit on the car and it doesn't rub. i have relieved and surprised.

i have the 5mm spacers in the front. don't put too much of a spacer or your lugs aren't going to have as much bolt to bite on to. I can tell a difference even with the 5mm.

to confirm i did the 17x9 +45 offset

edit: oops, but of a re-statement here.
