Just curious what RPMs many of you shift at when you’re casually driving around town. I know that low-RPMs at higher power aren’t a good idea for these engines, but does that affect your shifting choices even with casual driving?
I wondered if some shift at lower RPMs to reduce engine wear. I tend to shift more or less around 3k for casual driving. Recently I’ve been wondering if lower would be better. But right or wrong it feels engine specific. My Audi (2.0T) I shift a tad higher, or my former Hyundai (2.0) I would shift 1k or more lower.
