There was some FB thread that mentioned it. I don't remember the guy's name, but he had some comprehensive guide to beat this DTC and he mentioned that. I can try again without the ziptie, but it already gave me a pending code on first try when I did not have the ziptie on with OEM stuff.I have never heard about needing it ziptyed
I'm now trying to understand the way Versatune's DTC editor works. You turn a DTC off, BUT that doesn't mean that relevant monitor is turned off right? Example, both P2004 and P2010 are related to VTCS monitor, right? So if I turn off P2010, that doesn't mean that the monitor related to VTCS is turned off, right? Because P2004 can still trigger. Further, if I turned off P2010 and P2004, that wouldn't translate to 2 monitors off, right? I'm weighing my options considering NYC does OBD2 inspections allowing only 1 monitor "Not Ready".... Or, I guess, also "Incomplete" if that makes a difference.
