Agreed. I feel the PHEV only makes sense if your commute can be done on mostly EV mode and have charging at work. I've seen a few posts on the FB groups where folks are still on their original tank of gas over 1k miles in. But if you do majority of your travel over 55mph, the I6 just makes more sense
 
Also the inline is pretty stout. Pulls nicely. The rumor mill going around is that since Mazda has now built a relationship with Toyota, some platforms/engines may get shared. We're already using the hybrid unit from i believe the Rav4 in the new 50 hybrid. Lol we call it the Bluetooth differential at work. An unconfirmed rumor is that since Toyota had parted ways with BMW, they're interested in using the I6 as a mule for a possible next supra motor. We already have some Toyota/Bosch SSTs at work

Definitely wouldnt be surprised if a joint toyota/mazda sports car happens (supra or otherwise)! Just glad straight 6's havent all but disappeared!

I6 RWD platform is a recipe for some exciting stuff

Lil over 4200 miles already. But luckily our house in Louisville should be up for sale soon.

Drive from akron,OH to Louisville, KY last night. Pretty much steady 80mph the entire way. Pretty solid for this large a vehicle!
