Ok so split the spare Transfer case and found a bearing a done a spin or two. I have billet bearing caps, so should I build and send it?

The bearing feels fine. I am just going to take it to a shop and have them fix it.

Rule of thumb is if it catches your nail, itll be an issue. Id still have it looked it which it sounds like you are
