Howdy people!

So in August will have my 6 MPS for 2 years. Am from South Africa so it's MPS not Speed.....
Anyhow.... No mods done (yet)

Am looking forward to learning tons of things from all the gurus here.. Am planning to replace headgasket and timing chain soon but doing all the work myself cause labour is just damn expensive.
Once repairs and maintenance is sorted the mods will start.
Unfortunately previous owner payed no care whatsoever to the car and even crashed it. (Didn't know when I bought it) but hopefully over time it'll be sorted and boosting like a beast again! IMG_4105.JPG
 
Why are you replacing the head gasket

read the how to's very thoroughly on getting the friction washers installed correctly on the cam and crank gears. its a pretty straightforward process but pretty easy to fuck up if you are sloppy.
 
Thanks all for the welcome... I'm loving my 6 but wow its a money pit, not much planned in terms of mods, but function>form... aiming for 220wkw as a daily drive... think thats around 300hp?? just want a solid street car... already got a track toy and this must still take the family out and about...

Thanks for the heads up... yeah will study them solidly.... So car came back from the panelbeaters having sorted out the damage from the previous owner. did a coolant flush cause new radiator fitted.... bled and sorted and when checked the car is still taking coolant... around 2 litres a week. took it for a chemical test, and it failed showing the headgasket is gone..
