My brother had an interesting solution for not having a shift pattern inscribed on his voodoo shift knob. He just sticked a shift pattern sticker somewhere close to the shift knob/boot on his Miata.

I've always wanted to try a Type R shift knob. Maybe I'll purchase one a couple of months from now.
 
I totally fondled my knob all the way into work today. The lady in the car next to me was shockingly appalled at my caressing. It is awesome.

Hey @Maisonvi , do you think you could machine titanium?
 
These really are amazing knobs. I've been running mine for a couple years now. Seeing the newer designs makes me want to order a replacement just for the hell of it. If your on the fence, go for it. You'll love the feel. I have a sphere but I might go with one of the taller designs next.

Yep, pop off old busted and twist on new hotness. I have the dessert beagle and love it. The weight of it in stainless is perfect.

@Maisonvi;, is there any chance of doing something like this knob (not necessarily in any particular color), but with the edges rounded off? That is, could you make something that looks a bit more like a teardrop knob, a la the S2000 knob (08U92-S2A-100) or the Zanardi Edition NSX knob?
