Figured I'd post here to add some protege content, not that anyone really cares about the protege anymore. So I've had this car for what seams like forever. @Raider can confirm. I think I purchased this car on 7/11/2008 with about 36k miles on it and now has over 150k road hard and put up wet miles on it

I can't really provide much of the build progress over the years but I can state what I have so far in no real order. I'll have to upload pictures later when I get time.

This is really fantastic, hard to find a Protege that isn't ragged to shit anymore.

Awesome stuff! Can you run Audi R8 or LS D585 coils? I was running the same Toyota coils in my Miata but swapped to R8 coils and noticed a big difference. The R8 coils definitely pull power and need a high current driver in the ECU to use them. I still need to wire in a separate 12v relay for them so they aren't pulling off the main relay but so far have been good.

Loved my 99 Protege. Wish I had it today so I could do a KL-ZE swap. For 17 years it was the most dead nuts reliable car I have ever owned!
Nice to see one still alive.

Tha ks everyone. It's far from nice but if definitely not the worst condition one out there

I can't say that I have looked into the r8 coils. are they the same connector as the Toyota one and or same pin layout? I'm sure the haltech can run them, just need to know the proper dwell time etc to set them up
