Sure did man thanks so much for the advice and emergency phone call haha Next question coming up..... Does seeing flames out of a wg dump pipe outweigh listening to it out the hood? Lol I wish I could ride in a speed with it like that to know how loud a wg is. I have zero experience knowing how they sound in person!

I wouldn't run it out of the hood. You'll get soot/exhaust gasses hitting your windshield and you'd be breathing it in. Plus the sleeper look is always better.

You'll be able to hear it regardless if it's going up through the hood or down to the ground. The only time it gets a little muffled is if you have the dump tube circulating back into the exhaust.

A dump tube is a 18" long open exhaust so imagine what that sounds like

I wish mine was in the exhaust as people think I am racing them when I am just trying to get on the highway or interstate. It's very loud bouncing off the ground and I imagine it is even louder outside the car. I would dump it under the car if anything. My buddies can hear me when they are in their house if I let it open up a little. They will text me and be like, "I heard you". It is fun to be noisy but it is also fun to not draw attention every time you want to give her the beans.

Mine sounded similar to a machine gun at WOT. As the EBCS switches rapidly you hear it in the EWG/exhaust note. At just full open it's like a massive exhaust leak but when there is duty cycle involved it's more of an extremely rapid flutter except it's exhaust noise.

I'm curious why it's louder under the car? I figure if it is loud then it is loud either way but I do like not drawing unwanted attention although I'm probably past that point I'd imagine anyway.

100% of the sound hits the ground and spreads out, resonating against the car, vs just firing off out into space.

Have you experienced this personally? Just curious as it seems like I see people with nice cars run them like this and they don't have soot issues from what I can tell

Think about all the spot that gets on your tailpipes and bumper now. It will end up all over the front if you dump through the hood

I just switched from IWG to EWG and dumped it down below. It is crazy loud and does sound a bit like a machine gun with the flutter. I thought something was seriously wrong the first time I went WOT. My car is not a daily and I don't even have an aftermarket exhaust but I have a boost actuated cutout right behind the downpipe. With the EWG open and the cutout my car is ridiculous. I rolled the window down once to see how Loyd it was outside and it was at least 3 times as loud.

I will have pics of it soon when it arrives and hoping I made the right choice. I went with dual vband setup which was .83ar hotside. Time to buy the oil and water lines I suppose

Ok, so on a more serious note I plan to give an in depth review of this turbo once I have ran it for a bit. Specs are the following...

.83 hotside
Dual Vband

I am hoping spool is still fairly decent but what I miss in spool will probably steal my heart with sheer terror in top end lol
