Hey all,
I got my 3 back in 09, but my 6, I found that in 2015, minty stock, but with 150K.

The airbag had been done by the first owner.

I keep getting letters kinda overdone with logos and letterheads, 800#'s, urging I get the airbag done a second time.

Is this a legit thing?

Some cars that had the driver's side replaced now need to have the passengers side replaced. You can look at the nhtsa website to see if you have outstanding recalls or check with the local Mazda dealer. You will need the VIN handy

Hit up https://www.safercar.gov/ as I have seen Hondas get 2 or 3 recalled. Same ones.

Yes, it's legit. I bought my 6 in 2018, the PO had caught the recalls up to that point before sale. There was a new one that hit last year. From what my paperwork shows, on one of the airbags (passenger side?) they didn't have a permanent replacement yet when the previous recall was done.
