That would honestly suck. As owner, I am working as hard as I can to get members (and even my own personal friends) to be more active, as well as to bring in the new members who need to find out how useful forums really are, compared top the fb groups.
Exactly. I'd love to see some of these guys become active members (and I pimp MSO at every reasonable opportunity in the fb groups), but my cynicism has me doubting that it'll happen.

Who wants to bet that all these greenies post once to get in on the group buy and then disappear forever?

I'm all for sticking around. Unfortunately other forums and facebook pages have made most Mazdaspeed owners look either like a huge douche or an idiot who shouldn't even own a car.

Hello Mazdaspeed family!

I wanted to celebrate joining this forum with a nice group buy for you all!

The Product

TB Performance Products Mazdaspeed3 Front Traction Bar

This is a type of chassis brace that I have dubbed the Traction Bar. It links the front horizontal LCA bolts together which reduces the chassis deflection that occurs under high load in this area. Chassis deflection is the act of the chassis actually shifting and flexing about which leads to changes in vehicle dynamics via short and sudden changes in the vehicles alignment. On the Mazdaspeed3, this deflection is one of the contributing factors to wheel hop and torque steer. By reinforcing this area, one can reduce these problems with a simple bolt on installation.

*While this picture is the Traction Bar on a Focus ST, This is the exact same location on the MS3

-Each Traction Bar is built using 1/2"x1" rectangular tube steel. This tubing is positioned so that its "edge" is in line with the load, which yields around 7x more strength in this position than round tube. Another benefit of the rectangular tube steel is that it allows for a tighter clearance underneath the car so that the brace doesn't hang down any lower than the factory splash guard.

-The mounting cups are made of 1.5"x .120 steel. This extra thick wall thickness helps resist any deflection of the cup itself, thus increasing the overall rigidity of the brace.

-Each Traction bar is powdercoated in a high gloss black finish. My powdercoater actually runs it through two separate coats which makes for an incredibly thick, durable and rugged coating.

-Weight is nominal. Each brace weighs in at only 2 lbs.

Benefits

-Reduced wheel hop and torque steer

-Tighter steering response and feedback

-Slight reduction in felt NVH from aftermarket motor mounts due to chassis dampening

The Legacy

After initial development for the speed3, the focus ST community quickly picked my traction bar up where it has become rather popular. The two vehicles share the same chassis and my development continued on the ST's. As such, this is where most of my data and feedback has come from. The brace has a rather proven track record in both drag and road race conditions.

In drag racing, armed with this brace, Justin Vaughn set the record for fastest Focus ST at a blistering 10.785 @ 130 mph. He reported back after installation, saying that the brace made his car significantly more manageable than it was prior to the brace being on his car. This data was also backed up by Erik Vogel and his low 11 sec passes on the previous record setting Focus.

On the road courses, The brace has assisted Jack Nicholas Thomas and Efrain Flores in securing a class victory at Willow Springs in Global Time Attack this year. In testing and at the track, both drivers commented that there was greater steering feedback and sharper response along with a heightened ability to get on the throttle earlier in corners.

I'll be active but my knowledge is limited. I do have the complete manual tho.

Yup, it's here in our member upgrade section too! No need to post tech and all of you don't know. But post an intro thread and pics of your car to start. We all were new owners once. Even if it was 11 1/2 years ago for me on the ms3.

I know that this is a group for JUST the front bar....

But I do have plans on buying that rear tie bar in the future....

Would this by chance count for the group buy?

If so, I have money for you.

I am totally with you. I think forums are an awesome place for enthusiasts...FB pages cause a real problem with people asking redundant questions and wanting to be spoon fed info. My hope by sharing on the FB page and asking that they make an account and sign on here was to assist with growing this fantastic forum and to bring people back over to the forums where so much solid information is readily available.

But what’s the best oil doe?

If I didn't already buy the CS front bar, I would be for sure on this. But I am looking at your products and am interested in the full front bracing, as well as the rear tie bar... Will definitely be purchasing your products when the time comes.

@Daniel@TBPerformance

Just for clarification, I already have a front tie bar from another manufacturer. So I wont be in this group buy.

However definitely put me down as committed for the next group buy when you do the rear tie bar.

Sorry for the confusion.
