VTCS delete relay install

you have something not connected correctly from removing the intake manifold, that is the cause of your fuel trim change

the VTCS controller box only needs to be connected to the wiring harness and have full range of movement to not trigger a CEL

Hey guys one last update the fuel trim seems to be leaving out. I talked to my tuner the trim issue is definitely the intake or injectors but I’m still in spec at idle. About the Vtcs the best thing to do is just connect everything back together maybe minus the button connected to the plunger. And just zip tie the button down. It’d just make it think it’s open and not throw the code

Okay so update. Hope I don’t jinx myself but I turned the car on checked the plunger and it was extended. So I cleared the code and drive 30 minutes and the code hasn’t come back. That being said the only thing I’ve done to the system is cut the rod and flaps out itself(I cut the shaft just to before it enters the first valve port.) So this seems to work if you dont want to cover the extra vacuum holes. I was also talking to a buddy who’s done this on other cars that in theory if you cross the two wires at the solenoid. It should clear the code but the starter relay is the better option over the two and that should work as well as a last case option

Hey guys, hate to revive this thread again, Im also in this predicament of dealing with the vtcs. I wired the starter kill relay and it killed my starter lol. Just had to plug the ground back in on the starter and replace a fuse then the car was back to normal. It did what it was supposed to do lmao. I reread where you said to SWAP the wires on the solenoid connector for the diagram on the relay? Im waiting on getting a vtcs box and plunger at the moment. Does the red wire (from the relay) connect to black red (vtcs solenoid) and black (from the relay) to green black( vtcs solenoid)?

I’m having the same issue got a vtcs delete relay and no matter how I wire it up I have the code p2006 or p2010. Any help with this would be appreciated. I have all the parts still left on my manifold the black vacuum box and the solenoid that attaches to it. I’m stumped on this one. I’m wondering if I’m missing something.
