weatherstripping

Hello I am new to the forum, but I am in desperate need of weatherstripping for the rear passenger door for my 2006 mazdaspeed 6. When it rains heavily my car just recently started allowing water into my backseat floor boards. I have called multiple mazda dealers to be informed that the item has been discontinued and have called a couple of used parts dealers with no success. Does anyone know of any places to find hard to find parts for the mazdaspeed 6 or have any spare parts laying around.

Have you tried a junk yard? Is it leaking past the seal itself or the body seam that the weather strip pushes on to?

I have not had any luck locating a speed6 anywhere that has parts in my area. As for the body seam I am not able to say for 100% sure what is causing the leak i was just assuming it to be the weather stripping. I felt the seal around the door bot the one on the door and on the body of the car and both of them felt like they were still in good condition and not torn up. Is there a way to test whether or not its the body seam or not? I appreciate the quick response.

One question I have is would the seal be the same for normal mazda 6? It may be easier if that is possible, but I am not sure if the doors are similar enough or not.

Get a friend to come over and use a hose on the area you think is leaking while you sit inside the car and check for leaks.

Start at the B pillar and make your way back. Make sure to do the rear glass etc. Check your door drains and make sure the latch isnt out of adjustment.

As for if the seals are the same between a Speed 6 and a non speed 6 car I would think they would be.
 
A wrecking hard regular 6 will work, or FattiMotorWorks.com may have a speed 6 coming soon.
