I just bought a used V3 cobb accessport. Went to install it and found out the previous owner of my car DID NOT unmarry his AP. In order to marry my AP I had to erase all data not realizing my car had a custom tune on it. Went back to stock map and now my car will not run (starts and dies in 3-4 seconds). I have a few bolt-ons and am certain that is the issue.
Mods are as follows:
- 3.5 inch cold air intake
- c-pe tmic
- autotech HPFP
- deleted both resonators
- damond turbo oil feed banjo bolt
- stock turbo and engine otherwise
I did get a p0401 last week but it went away after the car sat a day. I already bought the EGR delete kit from damond and plan to install it this weekend. So it is possible but not likely the EGR stuck open is coming into play here as well.
Any suggestions from you wonderful folks would be greatly appreciated. I sent out some emails to e-tuners and am waiting to hear back from them. My best guess is I need a new custom e-tune since I have no way to modify the Cobb maps
Thanks for reading/comments. At the very least, this is a cautionary tale for those new to this. Be easy on me
Attached a datalog of my last attempts to start the car (two back to back attempts).
