What did you do to your ride today

I like rotaries. I really do. But they are notoriously unreliable. Mazda did an engineering feat to make them feasible for mass market vehicles. And it's nice they can rev to the moon, but:

1) They're still not very reliable
2) Despite their very small size, they gulp gas
3) They burn oil by design to lubricate the internals
4) They make very little torque

Reinstalled a new CS LCA brace with the bracket fix. Went off without a hitch; thanks CS!
While I was under there, I drained my catch can, retorqued my RMM, and fixed a slight exhaust leak.

Finally got away from the K04 and installed a slightly used BNR S3 today. Got a new Synapse SB BPV to go with it. Should have everything put back together tomorrow once my new intake to turbo coupler gets in...USPS sent it in the wrong direction today...

S3 and Synapse, both FTW. I love mine :D

Installed the DM PMM. Definitely more noise/vibes than the poly-filled oem i was running, but way less than jbr.

Also wrapped trim in 5d gloss carbon fiber and installed the CS steering wheel

Installed DM TMM and boy :aplastao:. The tranny whine is REAL, but I love it. The shifts are extremely crisp. Also, thanks to RPM for the quick shipping.

Airlift bags courtesy of @VoodooJef are in, and the RX8s/summer tires are back on. Need to test drive to see if the rubbing issue is solved with these guys inflated.

Like Jef, I found that one side (driver) went in with minimal struggle, but the other (passenger) was a real fuckin' son of a bitch. Ended up having the wife stand on the wheel to get just a hair more space between the coils to cram the bag through. My hands are not happy with me.

Glad they got there in a timely manner. I sent you a new T, but you may find running two valves is easier to balance them. I just drilled out the bottom two license plate holes for them, your approach may be different. At about 15psi I stopped rubbing over most bumps, at 20 it almost never rubbed, and at like 35 it eliminated squatting under acceleration.

I copied your license plate method but the valves sticking out might bug me in the long run, so I'm considering t-ing them together and just clamping a single valve to the bottom side of the bumper somewhere.

They definitely got here quickly; showed up on Friday but I went to meet my new niece yesterday and didn't have time to mess with them. I have them at like, 30-35 psi to start with, lol. Should maybe let a touch of that out.

Get rolled yet? That outta permanently fix it. I haven't rubbed for years... never, since the rolling.

Attempted to install a gfb respons. The adapter plate in using has a sizeable o-ring that contacts he valve where the Allen bolts are causing a leak. Threw in the gfb gasket, still leaked, threw in rtv... still leaks but only from 20 psi or so. Threw the forge back in, no issues.
