What did you do to your ride today

man, been a while since I´ve posted in this thread. While I didn´t do jack shyte to my car today, since the last time I posted...everything. All the things. Tomorrow I send off the oil sample for a UOA of my break in oil for the new motor (not that I just changed it, it was a week or so ago)

My last post was about the tire pressure light showing up. I checked the tire pressures the night after, it was 32 and 27 psi for the front tires, 34 and 34 psi for the rears. Not sure why the front right tire dropped down to 27 psi. Anyway after filling up the tires to the proper pressure, I drove it to work and then let it sit for 3 days. Checked tire pressures this morning and tires seem to be holding pressure fine. So drove it work today.

Every time that happens to me I end up having a nail or screw in the low tire. Discount Tire fixes flats free, and since I buy their Certificates, if it is unrepairable, I get a new tire for the cost of the new Certificate.

That's usually what happens to me in the past. Usually after a day or two of letting it sit, it would be easy to see which tire was leaking air. This time though, the tire held pressure even after letting it sit for 3 days. Anyway, I'm continuing to monitor it.

Installed EBC Rotors, Yellow Pads, SS lines and bled the whole system including clutch. Also installed the CS Lower Tie Bar and replaced my front end links, still clunky :-( . Painted my front calipers too. I bought the Mazdaspeed vinyls but did not get them in time so they will go on later.

Winter beater failed inspection for front struts and a leaking driver side caliper between the union and crush washers, quote: 1100 dollars.

Fuck that noise, I bought that raging POS for 2k with snow tires. 180 dollars and 2 hours of my time later struts are changed, transmission degreased so I can figure out where it's leaking from, and I tightened the shit out of the banjo bolt since torqued didn't do it. Reminds me of why I started turning wrenches in the first place.

Replaced fogs with yellow LED's and all interior bulbs with leds, quality seems very good.

I'll have to give those LED fogs a try...I had to put my OEM fog bulbs back in since my "name brand" yellow LED fogs only lasted about 2 years and were way more expensive than those that you linked. Just doesn't look right with my car currently having some nice bright white HID headlights and shitty OEM halogen fogs. Looked much better with the yellow LEDs. Thanks for posting that up.

Shit, I've done nothing to my car except for maintenance for the past year I feel like. It has been nice going out and just driving the crap out of it and not having to work on it all the time though.

Sucks your car got hit @Faeker. Sometimes it is just easier if it would get totaled out.

View attachment 7590 Finally put this on yesterday. Cut a nice little hole so I can drain my catch cans. Put on my snow tires and put the Weathertechs back in.
My shit all beat up but it's life saving
[doublepost=1511018736][/doublepost]FINALLY replaced my ps pump. it's good to have steering again after 2 months. it was getting to be a bitch muscling getting out of parking spots and turning on steep inclines.

Took a sick day yesterday and was getting bored at home. Ended up opening the hood on my car and putting some stickers on it LOL.

New tensioner, idle pulley and belt on Saturday....did not eliminate the noise I was hoping to get rid of.

Rear B8 struts going on tonight in place of Koni oranges; will see if they help get rid of some bounciness in the suspension before I drop $500 on the front pair.
