Why does my intercooler sound like its sucking SO much more air?

This is a link to my car running.

Template public:_media_site_embed_googledrive not found. Try rebuilding or reinstalling the s9e/MediaSites add-on.

Recently did a full rebuild, and the only real addon performance stuff I did was a new turbo inlet pipe. It has a full Cobb intake, no tune w stock ECM. Did a balance shaft delete and a new rear motor mount and holy god this idles like an actual race car right now.

I am just concerned/curious about how much air it sounds like is being sucked through my intercooler, is this normal? I don't remember it being SO significant before.

I did a pretty thorough vacuum leak check and didn't find anything. The car isn't throwing any codes right now, it's idling really well, and quite frankly sounds really good....just lots of air coming through the intercooler so I am curious to know what you guys might think!

Sounds like a wicked leak to me. is the bypass valve hose (the large one) hooked up on both ends?

Yo! @nekret Yeah it definitely was. It ended up being that I was missing a little o-ring between this central intake vacuum piece that hides underneath the intercooler. What I did was fashioned a little piece of vacuum hose that I squished in there and it resolved every problem I was having and she is running smooooooooth now.

Check out this thread (we get into it after a handful of posts): https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/what-is-this-part.11877/
