Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

That's a great point. It looks like all of the permissions and settings for that were lost in the upgrade. It should be set up properly again now. When users first join, they are a Greenie N00B Member and have limited permissions, like bump limits and cannot PM. Once they have some posts, they...

The bump limit has been disabled for everyone. We're going to monitor it and re-enable if there's any abuse.

It's already been dialed back a bit. It's currently 12 hours for greenie members and disabled for metal members. Glad to hear it's working! It looks like you have permission to merge posts. You check the box next to two or more posts by the same user then click the actions menu and the last...

I have no issue and I'm not banning anyone unless the crazy temper tantrum continues. I thought he was literally talking about going for a hike to calm down... lol! Now I realize the other (more likely) meaning.

The thread bump limit applies to the thread author to prevent multiple consecutive posts for the purpose of moving their thread to the top of the list to get more attention.

Over 300k unique visitors since the beginning of the months says differently. Have a great hike!

Untrue. I just checked the previous version and it was 12 hours, which is exactly what it still is for non-greenies.

Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

The first error explains it clearly. You have to wait 24 hours before bumping your thread. You can edit your previous post instead. If you want a shorter bump limit, you can donate and become a metal member. I don't know what the second error is about. Nothing changed with chat permissions...

You might need to refresh the page or clear your cache.

I just moved the custom CSS to hide timestamps on low resolution screens and always show the notification dots from the old forum style to the new one. Try it again now.

Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

I guess I need to double check all of the user group settings. Try again now.

I'll be transferring over some of the customization from the old theme, like making the chat window in the tab a bit bigger. You can also click the settings icon at the top right of the chat and enable maximized mode.
  13. Adamizme

Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

It required some custom CSS, but it should be working. Give it a try.

That's just because the site is responsive. Turn your phone to the side and the timestamps are not under anymore. There's just no room with a small screen in portrait.

Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

Do we want the chat widget to be on the home page, at the top of the forum page, and in a dedicated tab? I'm thinking we should remove it from the top of the forum page. @Raider, Thoughts? I'm fine with leaving it as is if you like it.
  16. Adamizme

Forum 2.0 glitches, change requests etc

Got it. This should be fixed now.

I don't understand the issue here. The dot is filled in when it's unread and empty when it's read. You can toggle between read/unread too. What sort of change are you looking for exactly?
