Commanding 11 afr and getting 11.7?

That is my concern, wot maf cal did nothing when I was commanding 11.7 and getting mid 12's no matter what I did to wot maf cal. I tried everything, read every post I could find. Only thing that seems to work is commanding lower afr than I need. Swapped maf, and accelerator pedal, no change...

Commanding 11 afr and getting 11.7?

Yes, maf cal good and wot maf cal has no affect on wot afr. I could keep adjusting lean area on wot maf cal and it would literally do nothing. Yes, injector scalar and specific gravity set properly. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience? I am happy to get afr where I want it...

Commanding 11 afr and getting 11.7?

07 Speed3. Fuel pump internals, Test Pipe, COBB SRI, COBB TIH, FMIC. My 09 Speed3 would pretty much hit commanded afr. This 07 took me awhile to get it dialed, but it wants 11 commanded to get desired 11.7-8. Checked everything, no problems. Runs great and makes 275/350 on e15. Just this...

2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Gets DISI

Yep, those look like the ones! How do they ride? Can you put up a side profile pic of your car, or link me to a pic? Specs say 2.5 drop front, and 1.7 rear. Is that about what you got out of them? If that was true, the Speed3 OEM strut braces would not have sat on strut mount flush. See above...

2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Gets DISI

Been a long time, but finally starting back on this project. Pulled the engine/trans on the wrecked Speed today. Will start stripping it down and once all parts are off, then on to do the same thing to the 3. Then assemble 1 Speed 3 from the bare body of the 3. I will post some pics tomorrow.

308/344 on e40...take a look at my datalog

Can someone take a look at my log and tell me how it looks? Maybe some tips on getting hp to stay more linear on the graph at 4700 - 5500 roughly? This is an e40 map. 2007 MS3. 6.775 gal 91 to 5.225 gal e85 mix. 308/344 VD numbers CF 1.01 smooth 2. Seems tough to limit boost around 3k with stock...

Moog or Whiteline Endlinks? Vote and Comment, Please!

I have tried 2 different adjustable rears, pep boys aftermarket, OEM and MOOG. MOOG seems ok in the rear, but OEM is the best option front and rear IMO.

Moog or Whiteline Endlinks? Vote and Comment, Please!

Just bought OEM fronts. Tried several brands including MOOG, and Whiteline. MOOG are quiet as long as you constantly grease them, but only lasts a few days. OEM seems to be the best for the fronts...

    Boost Leak

Yes, the VTCS is your intake manifold flappers. If stuck closed, very little air flow, and no boost. Fix that and I am sure boost will return. Check electrical and vacuum to your manifold, and VTCS system.

What did you do to your ride today

I wish I was that good at saving receipts, and keeping logs of maintenance. Great job!

    Boost Leak

Take it off and inspect for a rubber o-ring gasket. Doesn't look like it is there.

What did you do to your ride today

I finally got rid of the wheel gaps! Lowered 2" on Tanabe Springs. Rear fenders rolled, pulled and rear bumper trimmed. Running 18x8 Infinity Q35 wheels, and 235/40's.

Moog or Whiteline Endlinks? Vote and Comment, Please!

I have tried several end links, front and rear, including Whiteline. Ended up with Moog. All others started making noise in less than 10k miles.

2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Gets DISI

The Speed3 and Mazda3 Rear subframes are identical, except the sway bar mounts. The Speed3 mounts are wider than the Mazda3. I could not mount my COBB Speed3 rear sway bar. The Mazda3 suspension has 218k, and my Speed3 only has 87k. Alignment in the morning. Wheel works is going to hate me! I...

2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Gets DISI

Nothing big. I installed the strut tower caps and Cowl tray from the Speed. It acts as a strut bar using cowl tray as strut tower support. The MS3 tray is reinforced with double wall steel compared to standard 3 cowl tray. Didn't think I would feel a difference, but it stopped the wandering on...

2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Gets DISI

Project "JR SPEED" I got to tell you the story/history so you can understand why I am doing this. Back in April 2015, my Son wanted something modern to drive to work and back. He was tired of driving his track built Datsun 510 everywhere. He was 24 at the time. He loved my 09 CWP Speed3, so he...
