    Persistent DTCs/Rampant limp mode

Not too familiar with this problem, but might want to log intake manifold pressure and barometric pressure in VT with the key on and engine off. This is the only time manifold pressure and barometric pressure would be expected to correlate, so log the condition. The P0245 is pretty clear cut...

andale927's EFR 6758 NC Miata Build

The rest of the turbo kit came in. Its gonna be a while before I actually install all this, but I'm slowly amassing parts. Ordered a used speed 3 MAF sensor for the additional sensor range. Also got my Tactrix Openport 2.0 for ECUflash. The miata community has some crazy opensource tuning...

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

No problem! I never narrowed down the issue to the point where I can say what it is. I've increased my knock sensor min load tables to the following and haven't had any further problems: My KR behaves exactly the same way you are describing. My motor doesn't sound like it has piston slap or...

andale927's EFR 6758 NC Miata Build

These Fab9 EFR kits are extremely hard to find used, I got really lucky to find this by posting a WTB thread. Some parts of the kit arrived, rest are arriving next week: Fab9 3" Exhaust, parts of it are ovaled to fit the transmission tunnel area. Side by side with my EFR7163, looks...

andale927's EFR 6758 NC Miata Build

Since this section exists I may as well post. Thread # 2 and EFR build # 2 lol. I picked up a 2013 Miata Club (PRHT) with 35k miles about 2 weeks ago. Its super fun and handling is amazing. Its a shame not to make it fast, the chassis feels like it can handle a lot more power. I admit that I...

I did another one: Gonna try for 7.5s on the 5558 since I have nothing better to do lol.

Importance of Accuracy in e85 Mixes

Its really not that serious, especially on a DI car. Even if you are off +/-5% on a e30 mix you're not likely to knock on any of the tuners maps. Try to get it as close as possible to target during the tune though, just to get the mafcal good and accurate.

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

Inching forward slowly but surely, revised timing a bit for quicker spool in 3rd gear, 4th gear spool region coming up next. I can't stop tinkering lol. Moved the curve to the left about 350 rpm and added a good 70 ft-lbs down low.

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

These updates are probably getting boring because they are all blah blah traction blah blah lol, I'm really just trying to get every last gram of performance without turning into a drag car. So my traction was just slowly getting worse over time and I had no idea what was going on, but finally...

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

Lol, I just put tire size at 1000 to get the other pulls out of the graph

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

So I went back to a 3-port configuration, but continued using the Cortex. The 4 port was just being too sensitive and was hurting my spool. @JohnnyTightlips gave me the idea, I didn't know how much range was possible with a small spring on the inefficient CP-E manifold. So I put in a 10 PSI...

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

I couldn't find the exact log, but here's another earlier log attached. I am hitting about 80% duty cycle on the PI injectors at peak power.

[SOLVED] Port Injection Return Line Pulsing

Picked up a different FPR with smaller valve seat per @JohnnyTightlips recommendation, it fully resolved the noise. So nice to idle without the annoying rattling. Edit: Specifically model Fuelab 52501-1

andale927's PTE 5558 Gen 2 Build (Built Engine)

    Figured I would do a minor update on the 4 port tuning. I've been extremely busy and its taking a pretty long time to get everything dialed in where I want it. 1st - 5 -> 10 PSI 2nd - 15 -> 17 PSI 3rd - 25 -> 29 PSI 4th - 32 -> 36 PSI I can definitely still add a little bit more power in 1st -...

[SOLVED] Port Injection Return Line Pulsing

To add to this, it looks like I made a similar mistake. I found the correct fuel labs regulator and looked for the cheapest one I could find. Didn't notice that the part number I purchased was off by one. Its built for EFI, but in the fine print it states "Large Seat, 1,000 LPH" Might work...

    60-130 times

Here it is! I do 3.5 60-100 consistently, but it was a bit cold today and had wheel spin. Also took a nap shifting -.- 7.8s should be easy, I'll give it another shot when its warmer out. Edit: This is 4th and 5th gear.

Good to know, I'll ground to that if I do a trunk battery relocate.

4 Port EBCS Tuning with Cortex Electronic Boost Controller

So, I started by testing a series of WGDCs in 3rd gear to map out a boost curve for each starting duty cycle. Note that I will be using spool control logic in the 2500 – 4000rpm range, but it is currently disabled. Spool control will be disabled for throttle positions under 75% for the most...

[SOLVED] Port Injection Return Line Pulsing

Thanks for writing up the post. 0 compression

Our fuel rail actually bolts into the head, so you would keep basically the entire OEM 2.3 fuel setup if you swap to the DISI head. Really not condoning the 2.5 swap with cast crankshaft and all, but its a relatively simple swap.
