What oil return line are you using?
-Aftermarket, check for kinks/clogs?
-OE, check if clogged.
It seems liked the turbo is being over-oiled if its bleeding out from the CHRA or you just have bad seals. Are you running less oil pressure with the oil feed OPR?
When running softer rates, you usually need to run longer springs to prevent bottoming out/coil bind. You can try a smaller bump stop thickness, but I don't recommend that because it can cause premature failure of the piston/seals if you hit a really bad bump. Plus, that shit is gonna hurt too...
Those dust boots will always fail. Get something like these if you want to protect your investment. I got a different brand on my Miata (Inertia Lab), but they should all function the same to keep direct water/dirt out and away from the shock piston...
I would have loved to see you apply more pressure to your buddy in the SIR. He might have let you pass on the main straight. He does very well to use all of the course to maintain his cornering speeds. Learn to get on the throttle sooner (rolling into it) vs coasting out and you'll see your...
I wouldn't worry about heat wrapping it, now that it's installed. I'm going to do my dump and DP once I start this S5 install. I say if you notice significant warming by your feet on track, it may be worth it then.
My 3 Cars not as they sit because I cant take pics of them (downrange life). All get used on the streets.
04 MSM AutoX/Track car. For AutoX, running SSM but going back down to BSP and doing more prep to be more competitive. Track is just an occasional HPDE. Nothing serious.
09 Speed3 is...
Design features are much better than most out there for the speed3 platform. Not having the rear adjuster obscured by interior panels is nice. There weren't any dynographs sent, but I also didn't ask for any.
My track results improved a fair bit. The car rotated much better than the BCs...
Definitely not Whitelines for the front. They rub on the passenger side brake hardline to the point it will chafe thru the line over time. Rears, running moog
Those are some pretty high coolant temps. I would definitely look into getting more airflow thru your radiator. Genpu's bumper is a little better at directing flow thru the radiator as the ends are more closed off, but the amount of air that passes thru is less. What is your current bumper...
If you're like me and have a FMIC, then you've already noticed your coolant temps are stupid high in the summer months. I live in Tucson and our summers are some of the hottest. It wasn't uncommon to see my coolant temps hit 210* on short 15 min drives to work and easily saw 219-228* on the...
TLDR: I installed expensive new coilovers that had no known reviews/proven on the MS3 platform before. Had some minor issues on install, but easily resolved. Lot of pictures. My review of them: I love them and highly recommend for daily/weekend track racer use.
Finally getting around to...
