125 k mile Maintenance and fluids

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I drive a 2010 Mazda speed 3. I just bought it and I am wondering what needs to be done at 125k miles. I have heard things like check timing and stuff.
But what exactly should I do? Is it possible to do a compression test at home with the inter cooler off? Is there a way to check the timing chain for slack without pulling the motor? Is timing easy to check on these cars? What is the easiest way to clean the valves? (I have discovered that a pick is really hard to clean the valves with.)

Also what transmission fluid is recommend by y’all? Is dot 4 brake fluid better than 3 in these cars? What is the best coolant to run in these cars?
I know this is a super super loaded question. Thank y’all for the responses, yall have a great day!

hi and welcome to mso! did you even try searching for these answers? or read threads in the knowledge base section? or read your owners manual for fluid intervals (answer is all fluids on a car with unknown history) because all of these questions have been answered Multiple times around here.

I'll get some threads linked when I can a chane

this thread should answer all of your fluid questions https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/proven-parts-list-common-parts-that-dont-suck.4476/

as for timing yes you can check it I'm car, at TDC with VC off should have minimal slack in chain although really if cars 100k+ she's due for vvt service assuming it wasn't done at 100k.

yes you can do a compression test and leak down at home there's plenty how to's out there
