2.3 turbo head on a fusion 2.5 block spark plausibility

Hey all, recent learner here not one to usually chime in as I am a noob and don't want to give improper info but would like to start based on the 2 swaps I have done with my boy and the tweaks that worked for our builds, the norm 2.3 Mazda converted with a 2.5 fusion running great and the most recent we did a swap 2.3 Turbo head on a 2.5 Fusion Block. Been running fantastic for past 6-weeks however, just had P0300-P0302 codes and I have check all the norms and swapped a bunch of stuff still issues and working through yet my question on the 2.3/2.5 swaps which I cannot seem to find anywhere is this:

What should the spark plug gaps be set to since its either a 2.5 engine on a 2.3 pcm'd system or a 2.3 head on a 2.5 block with a 2.3 pcm coding?
2.3 Gap of .024 - .027 or 2.5 Gap of .049 - .053 ? ?

Just wondering if my misfires are related to a slightly bigger bore and also a slightly longer stroke of the pistons which would require a greater gap ensuring a bigger bang.
Now I could be wrong here but seeing as the firing is married to the harmonic balancers position related to the cams position there is a possibility that the gap should be greater to accommodate the extra sized volume of the 2.5's block even though its marginal it still is a difference in volume.
ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Thank you Easter Bunny Sir. We did in fact go with the tighter gap and still acting up but I'll just read some of the other threads regarding the codes as there are a bunch.
Cheers
