72mm Throttle Body...and it works

Do you want this; Do you need this!?

Is the OEM manifold big enough to allow the corksport throttle body to open allow the extra flow in? I've never bothered to measure the OEM manifold opening, and I'm too lazy to dig through the old forum for the specs. I'm curious about the off throttle hesitation you get with it.

I can't comment on drivability for a "stockish" car but truthfully my JMF + single runner head + 6 puck clutch setup (not a pretty equation for an easily drivable car) lost maybe 5-10% of drivability in stop and go traffic. I'm talking 1st gear clutch in, clutch out, cruise 25ft, repeat kind of traffic. I live between Baltimore and DC and see a lot of traffic and while this was annoying, the throttle body was not the deterring factor from preventing me driving the car back and forth from work.

Oh and note - this was after zero changes to my tune in an attempt to make the best before/after comparison possible for testing.

Yes sir. I was thinking of going 3in cold pipe but never really got around to it.

I went from 2.5” to 3” cold pipe on mine and im going back and making a new 2.5” cold pipe stepping up to 2.75 on the 90 going up to the tb. Turbo was a little more responsive with the 2.5”, itd be interesting to see a comparison with this tb.

There's an odd amount of science when it comes to intercooler piping sizing. With the flow my setup had I assume I would've lost just a hair of response in trade for top end flow but you never know until you try it.

Do ittt, maybe this tb will make up for the loss in response time. That should provide very good info for bt cars.

So guys with the fost manifold:

Speed Solutions has a spacer/adapter they are going to be offering with new bolts for a very reasonable price (less than $50). It is 1/2” thick and tapers from 72mm to 67mm and i would hit them up on the book of faces if you are interested. Should be available this week or next.

I highly doubt cs will offer it. Not sure if they have a website, hit them up on facebook. Speed Solutions in Arkansas, they respond to messages very fast.
ok thanks. Failbook purchase only was what i was afraid of... oh well not goin that route so maby one day cs will make it happen....

So besides rev hang...

Anyone had any issues with this bad boy?

I'm kind of on the fence about this one, and I will have a few extra bucks in 2 weeks.
