I recently went built motor and installed an ACT 6 puck "zx5-hdg6 kit". The first 1500 miles or so the clutch engagement was about 3/4 up the pedal. This seemed about right and took a little while to get used to as the pedal is heavier and grabbier then stock but after no time I had it figured out.
Well pretty much over night the engagement went from 3/4 to at the very tip top of the pedal. I thought this was strange and maybe I just needed to bleed it. I did not, bleeding it would only help if air was in the line and engagement was not low "squishy air" it was too high. The pedal pushes the slave with even a very light touch and the pressure plate moves. It is pretty annoying to drive like this as I really can't feel engagement like I used to.
@CMajor and @amnesiac are also both having this issue. @CMajor and I have a few things in common. Same clutch kit, same speed 6 slave on a speed 3, same engagement issue after a few thousand miles.
I have tried bleeding the line and adjusting the slave rod, this has had no affect. The slave self adjust and just moves to the point it was. The slave retracts fine and works as it should.
I contacted ACT and they are as stumped as me. From all my logs and driving I don't see any slippage just high engagement. The pedal feels identical as it did on day one, same firmness etc but engagement has changed.
On a quest to find a solution sooner then later as I don't want to burn this clutch up I found this.

I am going to tap it into my 3an line I have for my setup and see what it does. I will update when I have more info. I have read a ton of good reviews on this and it totally makes sense with how it works. I am hoping this gets the pedal where I want it.
