So, Ive been on and off this forum, and the OG forum for quite a while.. Ive know the general stuff about our cars and the "correct" ways to do things.
I know that in the beginning, in like 09, everybody was blowing engines and going big turbo 3076..
now hpfp, correct oil, no boost on stock block under 3000 etc... really helps maintain our engines..
So... I trust you guys more than so person on reddit.. HOWEVER.. there is one guy on there that constantly talks about carbon cleaning.. with seafoam.. he goes on and on about it.. on almost every thread it seems, he starts talking about it.. cleaning, cleaning, cleaning..
Now, it would be easy to write him off and go about the day.. but sometimes he goes into very percise details about transmition parts or other pretty precise car parts.. so he isn't a noob.. He definitely knows more than the average joe for sure.. He claims he used to tune cars, etc..
He might even be on the forum here for all i know..
MY question is.. he seems VERY intense about carbon cleaning with seafoam.. ( am i missing something?is carbon cleaning really the biggest factor with these engines? is seafoam even worth getting (i know its not recommended here)
examples.
