88mm = .020" overbore. It will add a good chunk of cost and time to machine. It's not going to give you any gains that you'd notice. The big determiner for if you should get it overbore to 88mm is if your PWC without machine work is over .005". If it's over .005" you'll get some piston slap on cold start (it may even hang around once warmed up too) and the piston and cylinder walls will wear a lot faster. Overboring lets you control the PWC to be where you want.
 
Oh ok I didn’t know if it helped with higher hp goals and a little more engine volume inside. What piston is best for a higher hp DD? 4032 probably right or stock even, and just aftermarket rods? Or could a good PCW control most of the adverse affects of a 2618..

Honestly I wouldn’t even mind putting a 3076 on but it’s affordability at this point. It’s a ways away before I can do it anyways..haha

I agree with everything you said but this. The stock dual mass is a heavy, unreliable POS. I haven't seen a single one out of any speed yet that didn't have an issue with the springs that keep the second disc centered against the main disc. The springs just wear out or otherwise break. The one out of my pu also had play between the two discs.
 
Alright guys so I did a compression test on my car today dry with it somewhat warmed up. Although I don’t know which actual cylinders and considered which I will state them from the left to right while looking at the motor.
Cyl.# 1- 153
Cyl.# 2- 152
Cyl.# 3- 148
Cyl.# 4- 151
Soo... Just keep in mind my motor has like 190k on it so ik the numbers are probably a little low but what do you guys think? Pretty close to each other right??

Alright I’ll talk to them about it. Honestly I have the money basically but just bought a house so money is getting spent left and right on stuff for it right now. Since my car had a good compression test should I worry about running in the 19-20psi range? The turbo is stock too.
 
Straitified is all about Fords, now; NCE for Speeds anymore. Freek/Purple Drank/Dizzy (forum vendor!)/Nishan are going to be your best bets

Any suggestions on one over the other (other than Stratified now then), and if so why. Also, is 19-20psi too much for an old K04?

No experience with Dizzy, but I hear good things.

I cant recommend Will and PD enough. Ive been tuned by a few guys, but his customer service is beyond reproach. Ive had him call me on a weekend to help me walk though PI system issues I was having.

Well I seen he is doing short tunes basically with I think 1 revision for bolt-on cars basically and its $75 so I was pretty interested in Dizzy. Does Will offer something similar?
 
I don't know if PD offers a flash tune of that sort. Freek and Dizzy definitely do. If you can, just go for a full custom tune unless you know this will only be temporary; it'll have your car running much better overall.

I've worked with Freek, Will @ PD and now I'm in the process of tuning w Dizzy. The big name guys all know what they're doing; it's mostly personal preference. Freek is super busy all the time so it can be a slow process with him. Will is a cool dude and his turnaround time on revisions was always very quick for me; and, if you've got an issue causing a hiccup in tuning, he'll call you to discuss it directly which is a nice customer service touch versus trying to troubleshoot via email. I'm working w Dizzy now on my new setup because Jason is also an awesome and incredibly helpful guy, and just to get the experience of how another tuner works...he was receptive to going a bit more aggressive than my previous tune so I'm excited to see where it lands when we're all done.
 
Oh ok good to know. It should only be for this summer because I am hoping to do an S4 upgrade and supporting stuff after tax season next year. Compression checked out good so I think I feel more confident in doing it now.

You think the flash tune will atleast run better than my AP Stage 3 OTS map?

Hahaha NIICCEE.... Pretty good one man...:clap: Anyways yeah I need a tune but don’t want to do the full custom tune until I get all my BT stuff on and what not. Btw how bad is idle when you have deleted the vtcs delete do you know?
 
I just put in a CS manifold a little over a week ago, which does jot retain VTCS; I haven't noticed anything except a slightly louder cold start idle that settles pretty quickly.
