Brake Booster Vacuum line.

The check valve is in the factory hose which is just black rubber. That red and black hose looked aftermarket so who knows where your check valve is

Hey @Easter Bunny. My apologies as I should have clarified; the top portion(the one attached and pictured) is OEM with just a braided loom over it. I’ve read in this thread and others conflicting answers.

I did some digging last night before I saw that you replied @Easter Bunny. I remembered that a Gen-Alpha-iPad-Baby taught me at work that you are able to search for words in a document. So I started to go through all of the 5 parts of the Service Manual available in the Gold Section. It looks like you are correct that it is in the hose, but it seems that it is at these two specific places. One in the hose by the connection at the fire wall, as well as around the middle section you see above the HPFP. So since I only replaced the piece below that section, I believe I should be good. If I am not, I will report back.

blow through it to check. dont want to go for a drive and not have power brakes

Ok so I removed the back portion of the hose and was able to blow through it in both directions.

I also hooked up a hose to the port by the firewall and was not able to blow through it for shits-and-giggles and was unable to but I’m assuming because it’s just not enough pressure.

I got a generic check valve just in case.
