SO the checkvalve on my brake booster vacuum line has failed. The part number is BA6R43630. I can not find anyone anywhere that has one. Any ideas how to go about finding one or are there any workarounds that are safe lol. As always I appreciate the help.

You can use and vacuum line you just need to install an inline check valve so it doesn't get boost to it

awesome ty for the reply! Where can I get the check valve? Also I am asumming that I can use any standard vacuum line as long as it fits

Nevermind my local napa has what they are calling a universal one. Ill give it a shot. Thank you for the help!

Yes the booster uses engine vacuum so under boost it will push air into the brake booster and take away the power brakes

got it ty.. the checkvalve should be here this weekend. Ill try to get it done then and post an update.
sorry it took so long. We got it done today and that defintely wasnt the problem. Still have very stiff brakes. And after a stop there is a sec or 2 where the brakes are still slightly applied not much but just slightly till I take off again. Any ideas?

start from the beginning, what is actually going on? you started the thread just asking about the check valve

ok, so the brakes are really stiff. I was going through the forums here and found this article https://mazdaspeeds.org/index.php?threads/brakes-get-really-stiff-after-accelerating.11771/ .... this describes almost perfect what it is doing accept I also the brakes are very slightly applied after coming to a complete stop. But they let go as soon as I start moving again. . however the part that I need is no longer made so I bought a universal checkvalve and some vacuum line a made a fix that way. But it's still doing the same thing. Stiff pedal and once it comes to a complete stop the vrakes are still very very slightly applied. But they let loos as soon as the car starts moving.

How do you know the brakes are lightly applied when stopped
I can feel it when I push in the clutch. And when I dont come to a complete stop and do a very slight roll to a stop I can feel the brakes after I applied them to slow down

Try your caliper slide pins buddy.
They could be sticking or a calliper could be bad did you happen to do breaks on it recently? Did you over tighten the slide pins?
that most definitely would cause the breaks to drag a few seconds after releasing the break pedal.
as for the whole stiff break pedal. im lost. Need more info if you did needle breaks the pedal would become more stif after bleeding the breaks.
And new pads and rotors did you happen to buy the wrong part for the vehicle? There’s a lot of questions I would start outside the vehicle forsure tho.

I was thinking baout the slide pins myself. I didnt do any brake work on it however the person I got it off of put drilled and slotted rotors on it at one point so they have so they did some work at one point. Ill take a look a that for sure.
Im not sure what you mean by needle the brakes. But youve def given me a good place to start.

Im sorry to have taken so long.... Busy life at the moment.. So it was the brake hose.. However I am having a hard time finding the correct brake pads now. This little ho-dunk town keeps getting the wrong ones.. Does anyone have a part number for the front brake pads for an 08 msp3?

Hi! My name is Jon, and I like long walks on the beach as well as bringing old threads back to life.

What was the final conclusion for LHD speed’s check valve placement? I am installing a FoST manifold and installing a longer vac line to the actual brake booster port with quick connect push pins secured with ear clamps. Is it located in the section of the hose pictured?
