Looks like a very solid build. You definitely have the car kitted with some nice and hard to find pieces, also pieces hard to find info on. If you feel up for it definitely help out the community with some how-to’s and parts reviews.

I noticed the 10.6:1 Wiseco pistons in your build. I’ve been interested in how small compression bumps help these engines with low end torque, but haven’t found anybody really doing it, so if you feel like sharing about those it would be awesome.

If you’re looking for a small cheaper brake upgrade, I’m in the process of acquiring Toyota and Mazda parts that makes the front brakes 2 piston floating calipers. I’m Gonna do a how-to when I do it, so keep an eye out.

Most of these are older parts and were installed on the car around 2015-2016'ish, but the car sat for about 8 years and I'm finally now getting back to it. I still have a few of the parts in the garage I need to install (wot box, diff mounts, rear sway bar, etc), but I have it back up and running again.

So, I don't have any pictures on the installs, and most of the parts went on at once (thanks to @Rokusek and @DISIFTW). I honestly don't remember what it feels like to drive it anywhere close to stock. Feel free to let me know what parts you're having a hard time finding info about and I can help fill you in.

For the pistons (custom Wiseco's), I believe that was the best option at the time the motor was built, and there's probably way better options now. This motor was built by sp63 for someone else, I just copied in the specs he gave me.

YES!!!! I have pictures somewhere... OLD AF pictures. But also some from last time I saw you in VA. I'll have to look and see.

Welcome back meng

Well, I took it up to Walmart to get the tires mounted (since I bought them through walmart.com), and they put a hole in the front mount intercooler trying to get it onto their ramps (since both their lifts are down). ARGH! Oh well, new intercooler coming soon as well :/

So, took the front clip off and found they hit it pretty hard. They hit the bolt on the ramp hard enough to push the fmic back into the radiator core support (broken), and into the bottom of the radiator, which now leaks.. pics included.

Thanks for adding some old school build pics! I'm only questionable about the turbo, cuz Chris told me in private it wasn't as big as he told others it was. I might take it out and measure it, but doesn't really matter anyway. I'm going to try to install the front/rear diff mounts this weekend, and change the diff fluid. I also ordered some of the DI injector filters from Rokusek's thread and they should be here tomorrow, will be easier to get to them since the front clip is off.

The walmart claims dept sent a form for me to fill out, i sent them the pictures from above with the damage along with links to the parts/prices, mentioned I would fix it (free labor), but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I'm assuming that's a good sign, probably still under review on their side.

I went to install the front/rear diff mounts and rear swaybar yesterday, and the very last bolt on the top of the diff snapped off. fuuuuuuuuudge. So today, I dropped the rear subframe and got the front diff mount/rear swaybar set into place w/ the steeda endlinks, and need to find someone at work to weld on a nut for me to get it out of the diff so I can install the new rear diff mount. ARGH.

I also found the fuelab inline fuel filter for the PI fuel system, the wotbox, and found I also have rear stainless brake lines. I also have a ton of random parts I might put up here for sale soon (mostly gen2 ms3 parts).

Daaaaamn bro... Fuck Walmart... I'm just wrapping.up my hunting season. I got some pictures somewhere. I gotta find them.

So while the rear subframe is out, I decided to use some Rustoleum reform/seal/black spray paint on it to make it pretty, also installed the new front/rear diff mounts and rear swaybar. I also had a hell of a time with the bolt stuck in the top of the rear diff, but finally it decided to come out.. with some help from an air chisel after hours of attempting to use the bolt extractor set.
