Looking over some data recently. This is very interesting.
It’s noticeable in the video. You can hear the RPM oscillating. My tuner mentioned it first. After looking at the data we see what’s going on.
you’ll need to zoom but you can clearly see rpm vs throttle. Then you notice the spikes. Looking at wheel speed on the left side makes things pretty clear. Wheel spin. Seems to be on corner exit of course. Usually some curbs involved but damn. That’s some wheel spin for sure.
I picked up an aftermarket LSD to help remedy this. Something that’ll actually fully lock.
My tuner also mentioned motor mounts. I’m on oem 200k mile units. Rear mount has been upgraded of course but rest are oem.
Time for a full motor mount kit maybe? I’m considering it but it ain’t cheap. It would cover rear mount, passenger mount, and transmission mount. 70a for the bushing stiffness. Probably a good idea or maybe overkill?
My Mazda had the full Damond mount kit. First I had the race bushings or whatever and that was hell. Later on went to his “street” bushings and that was livable.
Conflicted on if I should spend the cash on a full mount kit or just keep on sending it?
