I was on my way home from work yesterday. I put my clutch in to downshift. The car died, no loud noises or anything. It was a very calm death haha. I pulled over, tried to start it and itll crank but wont turn over. I lugged it back home. I do have a few codes. P0102 (Maf circuit low input) P0245 (Turbo wastegate solenoid A low) PU401(invalid data recieved from ecm/pcm). I looked into the engine bay, there is nothing that stands out immediately at me.
One thing though, when im cranking it shows 0rpm. Which makes me think it may be crankshaft position sensor. I just wanted to make sure im not going down the complete wrong path. Any input is helpful!

Hello,
"I pulled over, tried to start it and itll crank but wont turn over. I lugged it back home." From this I think you mean that you used the Starter motor to move the car home, the starter will turn the engine but it won't start is that right?
"PU401(invalid data recieved from ecm/pcm)." I think you mean U0401; U0401 Code: Invalid Data Received from ECM / PCM “A”
Haven't had this before so I looked it up;

The U0401 code can be triggered by the following problems

  • The U0401 code stands for “Invalid Data Received from ECM/PCM ‘A’”, which means modules on the data network are receiving implausible data from the vehicle’s powertrain control module.
  • The common causes of the U0401 code include one or more faulty sensors, a dead battery, and data network issues.
  • The vehicle refusing to start, an illuminated check engine light, and a disabled traction control system are some common symptoms related to the U0401 code.
The P0401 code can cause your vehicle to show the following symptoms:

Sadly I can't find anything in the Service manual for troubleshooting.
I would suggest first Checking the ECM connections, maybe some contact cleaner for both the ECM and the connectors (battery disconnected) Also make sure the Battery is charged up.
Then test the Three areas you show codes for, or suspect; "P0102 (Maf circuit low input) P0245 (Turbo wastegate solenoid A low)", "Which makes me think it may be crankshaft position sensor."
To make sure both the sensors are good and the connectors are clean and providing the correct input.
Still problems after that, Look at the harness and Check continuity and grounds. Check the ECU, or swap it if there is another available.

That all I got so I hope it is helpful
